Pot-Heads
2026
A collection of small sculptures with heads emerging from inside ceramic pots or jars.
Their distorted faces appear from the rim of the pot like ectoplasm released from a funeral urn.
The works play with the idea of the body replaced by an empty container; the strange visages seem angry and uneasy as if they have been disturbed from their sleep.

Sieve-Head (1)
2022 to 2026
The first of a collection of sculptures with heads trapped inside laboratory or kitchen sieve equipment. Sieve-Head (1) shows a head with a bandaged and patched appearance wearing a helmet-like head piece made from three Endecott laboratory sieves. The sieves are found objects formerly used for lab work in one of science departments of the University of Salford.
